PC gamers will suffer a sharp kick in the nuts when Mortal Kombat XL releases. It will only be available for console owners. Moments like this doubtlessly make PC gamers scratch their heads wondering why they shelled out all that cash for a fancy computer.
Despite all their modifications to their motherboards and the fact that Mortal Kombat X was one of the best selling games of 2015, it still struggled to acquire a decent PC audience. The PC release was riddled with bugs and overall, it was badly ported. NetherRealm Studios even gave their PC customers 10,000 Koins to spend on extras in the Krypt. They then released a patch in an attempt to fix these issues, only for gamers to report that they had then lost their save files! A gamer on a ‘TestYourMight’ forum bitterly complains ‘I will probably never buy a Warner Bros game on PC again’, perhaps hinting at the similar issues PC gamers suffered with Arkham Knight.
It goes without saying that the once popular idea of being a PC gamer, is gradually becoming less popular. Probably due to bad ports from developers who build their games initially for consoles – who know that consoles are where the money really is.
Thankfully, for us PS4 gamers, it’ll all be smooth sailing. If you still haven’t grabbed a copy of MKX, NetherRealm studios has your back. The XL version of the game will contain all the DLC, including skins, characters and new stages. It is currently set for release on March 1st 2016 and you can check out a taste for what it has to offer in the video below.
